Coaching is all about empowerment. I will be your coach, your sideline cheerleader – the person who believes in you even when you don’t believe in yourself. Coaching with me is always personalized to meet your specific needs and is always future-focused. I help you get unstuck and empower you to move you from where you are to where you want to be.

If you are struggling with self-doubt or making healthy habits stick, working with a health coach could be just what you need to help you get unstuck. I will use motivation, and a unique combination of skills help to help you make the changes you need, and empower you to achieve wellness.

There is no magic pill, or one specific diet that works for everyone. One of the main principles of health coaching is that health is bio-individual so everyone faces different challenges when it comes to keeping healthy. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach to wellness, I will help you to create a highly individualized strategy for achieving your health & wellness goals.

Some people seek out a health coach for weight loss support, while others strive toward goals like increasing their energy or improving their heart health. Life & health coaching is a little different because we will look at both primary foods, such as relationships, your career, your spirituality, and your movement, and secondary foods – what you put in your mouth – and facilitate a holistic approach to total health in your body and your soul. In addition, as a health coach, I can help you with changing habits to better control chronic conditions, autoimmune diseases, and gut health.

A number of recent studies have shown that working with a coach may be helpful in managing such problems as diabetes and obesity, too.

A common misconception is that coaching is the same as therapy, when in fact they are quite different. First of all, I am not a therapist. I am a coach. Therapy is intended to help people recover from emotional or other psychological disorders such as depression or anxiety. Therapy is very present-past focused and is instrumental in helping individuals heal from past traumas. Coaching, on the other hand, is more present-future focused – rather than asking “why” I will ask a lot of “how” questions. I work as a guide to help you, the hero, accomplish your quest …think what Yoda is to Luke, or Haymitch is to Catniss. Coaching is intended to help overall healthy individuals get unstuck when they feel stuck and to help facilitate a path to reaching personal goals such as increased happiness, weight loss, improved work-life balance. etc.
