Are you feeling stuck and in need of clarity? As a Christian life coach, I’ve seen many women struggle with finding motivation and direction. It’s easy to fall into a rut, but getting unstuck? That’s where the challenge lies. So, let’s explore how you can leverage what you already have to achieve your goals and move forward with confidence.
We’ve all been there: “If I only had _________, then I would be happy/content.” Sound familiar? Maybe it’s better health, fewer pounds, more time, money, followers, more peace, less stress, more clarity, or more help from others. But what if I told you everything you need is already within your reach?
The first step to getting unstuck is to connect with God. Reflect on the last thing He told you to do. Have you done it? I remember a time when nothing seemed to work for me. Money was tight, and whenever I did get some, something would break or need repairs.
This reminds me of Haggai 1 in the Bible. The Israelites returned to Jerusalem after captivity in Babylon. God instructed them to rebuild the temple, but they got distracted by their own homes. Because they didn’t obey, everything seemed to go wrong. Once they listened and obeyed God’s instructions, things started to turn around.
If you’re feeling stuck, have you taken the time to connect with God and follow through on His guidance? As a Christian life coach, I encourage you to take this step seriously.
It doesn’t have to be an elaborate plan, just enough to give you direction. Feeling stuck about something as simple as “what to cook for dinner tonight”? Gather what you have or make a grocery list. Having a plan, even for small things, can make the bigger decisions easier. When you’re feeling stuck about your purpose, calling, or career, a simple plan can help you see the next steps more clearly.
The hardest part is often the first step. I remember my oldest daughter at nine months old. She wanted something across the room but didn’t want to crawl—she wanted to stand and walk. She started to cry but looked at me with fierce determination and took a step… then another. Seeing what she wanted, she took action to get it.
Like her, if we want to see change, we must take action. Motivation comes with action, and momentum comes with continuous action. The most successful people in my Christian life coaching practice are those who are willing to take that first step forward. I call it “doing it scared.”
Our biggest obstacle is often the six inches between our ears—our own mind and thoughts. Facing yourself and confronting those parts you’d rather avoid is tough. Stepping out of your comfort zone and taking action is daunting. But staying where you are is also hard. You have to choose your hard.
When trying to move from point A to point B in life, we often get stuck. We know we need to reach point B, but we might have no idea what it looks like or how to get there. Or we think we know and end up lost. Wouldn’t a life GPS be amazing? Good news—we have one! His name is Jesus.
It is soooo worth it to do the work and start the journey. The hardest part is always the first step, but the most successful people I see in my coaching business are those who are willing to take that first step forward. As a Christian life coach for women, I’m here to help you navigate this journey.
