By consecrating our senses to the Lord and practicing sensory rest, we can discern His voice more clearly and deepen our connection with Him.
Sensory rest involves taking a break from the constant stimuli bombarding us daily. It can include turning off electronics, spending time in a quiet room, or practicing deep breathing. Recognizing signs of sensory overload, such as stress and fatigue, allows us to prioritize rest and nurture our well-being.
Drawing inspiration from biblical stories like Elisha and his servant in 2 Kings 6, we learn how faith and prayer can overcome fear and sensory overwhelm. Through moments of sensory rest and trust in God’s provision, we can find peace amidst life’s chaos.
