Through breakthrough coaching, you’ll gain clarity, reclaim your energy, and step boldly into the life God has called you to—without the self-doubt, stress, or second-guessing.
Do you ever feel like your mind is running on autopilot, stuck in an endless loop of overthinking, worry, and negative thoughts? Maybe no matter how much you try to trust God, your thoughts keep circling back to fear, doubt, and worst-case scenarios. If that sounds familiar, I want to encourage you today—you are not stuck. You CAN change the way you think.
The Bible tells us in Romans 12:2, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Science confirms this too. Neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to form new neural pathways—proves that our thoughts can literally be rewired. This means you don’t have to stay trapped in anxious, fear-based thinking. With intentional daily habits and biblical truth, you can renew your mind and start thinking the way God designed you to think.
Let’s talk about 10 simple steps that will help you break free from the cycle of overthinking and worry and start walking in peace, clarity, and confidence.

Overthinking, negative thoughts, and worry aren’t just emotionally exhausting—they take a real toll on your body, energy, and faith. When your mind constantly defaults to fear and stress, your nervous system stays stuck in fight-or-flight mode, releasing stress hormones like cortisol. Over time, this can lead to:
But here’s the good news: God created your brain with the ability to change! You don’t have to stay in this cycle. Through faith, consistency, and biblical truth, you can retrain your mind and start thinking thoughts that align with God’s promises.
One of the most powerful ways to renew your mind is through writing down your thoughts. Grab a dedicated journal and commit to using it daily for 90 days. If that feels overwhelming, break it into 5-day increments and take it one step at a time.
Why 90 days? Research shows that repeating new thought patterns consistently over time rewires your brain. The more you practice shifting your focus from worry to faith, the easier it becomes. If you miss a day, no guilt—just pick up where you left off and keep going.
Your brain cannot feel fear and gratitude at the same time. That’s why gratitude is a powerful tool for renewing your mind!
Each day, write down:
✅ Three small, positive moments from the past 24 hours (like the sunshine, a kind smile, or a peaceful morning)
✅ Three big things you’re grateful for (like your family, God’s provision, or answered prayers)
By actively looking for blessings, you retrain your brain to focus on God’s goodness instead of your worries.
Each day, choose a Bible verse to meditate on and journal about. Ask yourself:
For example, John 15:2 says, “He prunes every branch that bears fruit, so it will be even more fruitful.” Reflect on how God is refining and strengthening you in this season.
If you’re not sure where to start, I’ve put together a 30-day scripture list in my FREE 90-Day Guide to Stop Overthinking, Worry & Negative Thinking—you can grab it here.
Instead of only thanking God for what He’s done, start thanking Him in advance for what He’s about to do. Mark 11:24 says, “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
A friend of mine once believed for the restoration of a broken family relationship. God told her to celebrate in faith—even before she saw the breakthrough. So she threw a celebration, bought a cake, and praised God for what He was about to do. Months later, her prayers were answered, and that relationship was restored.
Even when things don’t happen right away, we can trust that God is working all things for good.
Ask yourself, “How can I take care of myself today?”
Self-care isn’t selfish—it’s essential. Maybe you need:
You can’t pour from an empty cup. Taking care of yourself helps you show up better for others.
Write down your worries as a prayer. If you don’t know what to pray, just whisper the name of Jesus. He already knows your heart.
Write down three things God says about you and declare them daily.
For example:
Replace negative thoughts with these biblical truths.
Take five minutes, close your eyes, and picture sitting with Jesus. Ask yourself:
Write it down.
Instead of worrying, write down the best-case scenario.
For example, instead of saying:
❌ “I hope I don’t mess up my meeting.”
Say:
✅ “I will speak with clarity, confidence, and peace.”
Your thoughts shape your reality!
Ask, “Lord, what is one action You want me to take today?”
Write it down and check it off when completed. God is faithful—when you seek Him, you will find Him.
I know this sounds like a lot, but here’s the truth: God has already given you the ability to be consistent.
2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.”
A sound mind means self-control, discipline, and wisdom. It’s not about perfection—it’s about showing up, even when you don’t feel like it.
I know this was a lot of information, but I’ve made it super easy for you to get started today!
