As a busy mom, you are used to being on the go. You know how to balance your blood sugar levels while at home, at the office, and on the weekends. But what about when youre on vacation? It can be difficult to maintain your regular healthy habits while away from home. Dont worryIve got you covered! Here are three tips for balancing your blood sugar when youre traveling.
1. Pack Healthy Snacks! It can be hard to find healthy food options when you’re out and about, especially if you’re in an unfamiliar city or country. To ensure that you have easy access to healthy snacks whenever hunger strikes, pack some of your favorite healthy foods in a cooler bag before leaving home. Nuts and seeds, almond flour crackers, olives in to-go packs, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables make great travel companions! Remember to eat healthy fats or proteins with carbs – have a few nuts with some grapes, some almond butter on an apple, or get some no-sugar-added beef sticks and eat them with some crackers. Keep it simple but try to steer clear of chips and candy bars – those will make your blood sugar crash and then you’ll find yourself searching for a sugar-filled caffeine drink to perk you back up. When you eat out, try to eat a salad with oil and vinegar for dressing before your meal.
2. Drink Plenty of Water! Staying hydrated is key to maintaining balanced blood sugar levels. Make sure that you keep a reusable water bottle with you at all times; this way, wherever life takes you be it beachside, mountainside, or grandma’s house you will always have easy access to water! I love to carry these vitality drops with me to flavor my water while I’m on the go. They taste REALLY good plus they give my body the minerals it needs to help me stay hydrated and energized,
3. Keep Moving! Exercise is another important factor when it comes to keeping your blood sugar stable. You don’t need a full workout routine. When traveling, schedule time each day for some time to stretch or take a leisurely stroll around town; this will not only help regulate your glucose levels but also give you an opportunity to explore the area more deeply! After each meal take a 10-minute walk or have a dance party with the family. Get others involved – make it fun!
Traveling doesn’t have to mean sacrificing your health goals; with these three tips on how to balance your blood sugar while traveling, staying fit and energized can be easier than ever! So the next time that wanderlust strikes, don’t let worries about unhealthy eating sabotage your plans; just remember this advice and enjoy every moment of it!

Hi, Im Amy! I am a certified holistic life and health coach. I am PASSIONATE about helping driven women just like you, go from surviving to thriving I help them get more energy, stop cravings, and feel good again, so they can thrive in ALL aspects of their life and live the abundant life they were created to live!
I learned most of what I know through living life. I am trauma-informed, have three autoimmunities (Hashimotos, Graves, and celiac), and Epstein Barr virus, and I have learned that dieting doesnt work changing our thoughts about dieting does.
I know what has helped my health the most and my greatest desire is for others to find the same freedoms I have found in both health and life. It is my goal to partner with God to help women not only walk in wellness but to live in their identity, find their purpose, to walk in the calling of who God has created them to be, and help them heal from the inside out.
If you have been wanting all of this plus more energy, control over your life and health, and the power to make good healthy choices, and just want to feel good again so you can enjoy life, we need to talk!
