Here’s your revised SEO-optimized blog post incorporating the keyword “keto lifestyle” along with your personal journey of weight loss, reduced inflammation, chronic pain relief, and increased energy. This version enhances readability, improves search engine ranking, and strengthens your authority as a Christian life coach while making it engaging for your ideal audience.
For years, I searched for a way to lose weight, reduce chronic pain, and increase my energy without falling into the trap of diet culture. The answer? The keto lifestyle—but my journey hasn’t been linear.
As a Christian life coach, I believe that true transformation starts from the inside out. It’s not just about following another diet—it’s about seeking God’s guidance and making choices that honor the body He has given us. My keto journey has been about healing, not just weight loss—and today, I want to share why I chose this path again, what I’ve learned along the way, and how it’s helped me reduce inflammation, regain energy, and finally feel like myself again.
This isn’t my first time trying keto and intermittent fasting. I followed a keto lifestyle for over two years, successfully losing weight and feeling amazing. But then 2020 happened—a global pandemic, losing my 15-year marketing career, and major life stress. I needed a break and gave myself grace, stepping away from keto for a season.
At first, I maintained my weight loss. But then, I got sick, and that illness triggered a flare-up of Epstein-Barr Virus, bringing with it chronic inflammation and fatigue. For two years, my focus shifted to survival—rest, stress management, and nourishment—because healing had to come first.
Making any drastic dietary change—even a good one—can stress the body. And when your body is already inflamed and overwhelmed, that stress can do more harm than good. I knew I needed to wait for the right time.
That time finally came when I asked God:
“What do I need to do?”
I felt led to start with a 3-day bone broth fast—not knowing what was next. But after those three days, I found myself naturally in ketosis and felt an unmistakable pull to return to a keto lifestyle.
And this time, it wasn’t just about weight loss. It was about reducing inflammation, restoring energy, and healing my body from the inside out.
If you’ve ever been curious about keto but felt overwhelmed, here’s what my approach looks like:
I don’t do “dirty keto” (loading up on processed meats and cheese). My focus is on:
✔ Moderate healthy fats (avocados, coconut oil, olive oil)
✔ Balanced protein (grass-fed beef, wild-caught fish, organic poultry)
✔ Low-carb, nutrient-dense foods (leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, berries)
This approach ensures that I fuel my body with real, whole foods that promote healing, not just weight loss.
Pairing keto with intermittent fasting has been a game-changer. Fasting allows my body to:
✔ Burn fat more efficiently
✔ Reduce inflammation
✔ Increase energy and mental clarity
✔ Balance blood sugar and insulin levels
By giving my digestive system a break, I allow my body to focus on healing and cellular repair.
Chronic inflammation was keeping me stuck in pain, exhaustion, and brain fog. Keto has helped me lower inflammation naturally, giving my body a chance to heal. The benefits have been undeniable:
✔ No more daily fatigue
✔ Drastically reduced joint pain
✔ Improved gut health
✔ Increased energy and mental focus
And the best part? I finally feel like myself again.
I started keto for healing, but I quickly realized that weight loss was just a bonus. Here’s how the keto lifestyle has transformed my health:
1️⃣ Significant Weight Loss – Without counting calories, stressing over food, or feeling deprived, I’ve naturally lost weight and kept it off.
2️⃣ Reduced Chronic Pain & Inflammation – My body is no longer stuck in a state of inflammation and discomfort.
3️⃣ Increased Energy & Mental Clarity – I wake up feeling refreshed and focused instead of drained.
4️⃣ Eliminated Sugar Cravings – I no longer feel controlled by food or need to snack constantly.
5️⃣ Balanced Blood Sugar & Insulin Levels – No more energy crashes or afternoon slumps.
6️⃣ Sustainable & God-Led – This isn’t a quick fix or another yo-yo diet. It’s a sustainable way of eating that aligns with my values and keeps me feeling my best.
If you’re struggling with weight gain, inflammation, or low energy, keto could be the missing piece in your health journey. But remember: health isn’t one-size-fits-all. The key is finding what works for your body and lifestyle—and for me, that’s keto.
