Has God spoken a promise over you but you haven’t seen His promise manifest yet? Maybe you’re beginning to lose hope and becoming weary in the waiting. Perhaps you’re in a season of transition and God feels distant from you and you’re starting to doubt His promises. Beloved Sister in Christ, I sense the weariness in your heart, and I understand the weight you’re carrying. But I want you to know this: God has not forgotten you, and His promises over your life are as sure as the rising sun. Let us turn to the Word of God, for in it is our hope, foundation, and the roadmap to the breakthrough you seek.
Scripture: Hebrews 11:1 (NIV) “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
When we’re waiting on God’s promises, we have to have faith. Faith is not dependent on what is in front of you. It’s the evidence of things unseen. You’ve heard His promises, but you haven’t yet seen the manifestation. Let me remind you, that the journey of faith always starts in the unseen. When God speaks abundance and purpose over your life, He’s calling you to trust Him to bring those words into reality. Don’t be disheartened by what you haven’t seen—God is faithful to fulfill His promises.
Galatians 6:9 (NIV) “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Yes, sister, you are weary, but weariness does not mean failure. It’s a sign you’ve been working hard, but don’t mistake your exhaustion for defeat. The Word of God says that in the proper time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up. There is a season for everything, and your season of sowing is preparing the ground for your harvest.
God’s timing is perfect, and while you may feel that it’s been a long wait, remember that God is never late. He’s preparing you, refining you, and setting the stage for your breakthrough. Keep sowing seeds in faith—whether it’s in your family, your business, in your ministry, or in your heart.
Philippians 4:19 (NIV) “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
You feel like His abundance is a distant promise, but let me encourage you with this truth: God has already spoken abundance over your life. He is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19). He has declared it, and it will come to pass. But understand this—abundance isn’t just about physical currency. Sometimes it’s about spiritual wealth, wisdom, knowledge, and positioning you for what’s coming.
God’s provision is tied to your purpose. He is the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way – and He is doing a new thing! (Isaiah 43:19). The resources you need will be provided as you step in obedience to the small things.
Psalm 119:105 (NIV) “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
Sometimes, we wait for God to illuminate the whole path, but He has given us a lamp for our feet. This means He reveals just enough for the next step. You don’t have to figure out the entire strategy today. Ask God, “What is my next step?”—and then trust Him to reveal it, one step at a time. Baby steps are still steps, and every small act of obedience leads you closer to His divine promise.
Sister, maybe that next step is fasting and praying, spending a weekend with your family without electronics, having that difficult conversation with your spouse or parent, reaching out to one more client, reworking your message, or simply spending more time in prayer for clarity. The key is to move forward, even when you don’t see the full picture.
Romans 12:2 (NIV) “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
I sense that part of your struggle is the battle in your mind. Mind blocks, feelings of inadequacy, and fear of failure—these are strongholds that the enemy tries to build. But let me remind you, you have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). God wants to renew your mind so that you can see things from His perspective, not from the lens of doubt and defeat.
Every day, speak the promises of God over your life. Declare that you are walking in abundance, that resources are chasing you down, that your family has been set free, that your children are loved by God, that your marriage is thriving, that clients are being drawn to you, and that you are worthy of the calling God has placed on your life.

Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV) “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Jesus calls you to rest in Him. Your weariness is not the end of the story—it’s an invitation to come closer to the One who gives rest. When you feel overwhelmed, lay your burdens at His feet. Trust that He is carrying you, even when you feel like you can’t take another step.

When we’re waiting on God’s promises, we’re often searching for “breakthrough” and to see the breakthrough we desire, we must surrender our will and expectation of timing, to God’s will and His timing. Trust Him and His timing, discern the season you’re in, and wait on the Lord by taking action and looking for the little miracles along the way. This process strengthens us and prepares us for what’s to come.
God’s promises aren’t moving targets or a carrot on a stick that God dangles in front of us. It’s about those moments when we finally see things the way God sees them and the manifestation of His promises. But along the way, as we wait on God’s promises, there are many mini-breakthroughs—small, incremental changes that lead to a significant shift. “Suddenlies” aren’t as sudden as we might think; there’s a buildup, and we need to be aware of the small miracles and changes happening along the way. As a Christian life coach, I often suggest that my clients write down 1-3 things God did for them each day to help them see all the tiny miracles.
We must be willing to step out of our comfort zones and act even when we’re scared. Like a farmer planting seeds, we can’t expect an immediate harvest, but we can look for signs of growth and progress. These small pieces of evidence show us we’re on the right path. We need to trust the process and look for the little changes that encourage us along the way.
God does everything in seasons. Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 tells us that there is a season for everything. Just as fruit trees don’t bear fruit year-round, we also have different seasons in our lives. During the winter, trees are dormant, but their roots grow deeper. Here in Colorado, where I live, we see how trees handle the weight of heavy snow in the winter, but in the spring, the same weight can snap their branches. In the summer, the branches can bend under the weight of the fruit. This shows us that the weight we can bear depends on the season we’re in.
Just like a tree, if we put too much weight on ourselves in the wrong season, it can break us. God’s timing is imperative for our well-being. During barren or challenging seasons, we are being built strong to withstand the weight of what we will be facing in the future and we’re being rooted in God’s love and faithfulness. God can see the end from the beginning. He knows what is best for us and when it is best for us. These times of waiting on God’s promises are for refining, character-building, and growing our roots deeper in our relationship with God.
In the dormant seasons, we engage in activities like prayer, intercession, and trusting God. It’s a time for deepening our spiritual roots, building our character, and getting closer to God. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s necessary for growth. Malachi 3:3 compares this process to a silversmith refining silver until he can see his reflection in it. God refines us until we reflect His image.
God has spoken over you, and His words do not return void. You are destined for greatness, friend, and the breakthrough you seek is already in motion. Keep stepping out in faith, even when you can’t see the full picture. He is faithful, He is your provider, and He is guiding every step of this journey. Rest in His promises and trust that your season of harvest is coming.
Heavenly Father, I lift up my sister in Christ to You right now. Lord, You see her heart, her struggles, and her desire to follow the calling You’ve placed on her life. Strengthen her weary spirit, renew her mind with Your truth, and guide her every step with clarity and peace. I declare that every promise You’ve spoken over her will come to pass in Your perfect timing. Let her find rest in You and confidence in the work You are doing through her. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
Go forth, my sister, knowing that God has you in the palm of His hand. If you have found yourself waiting on God’s promises, just remember this: you’re not alone and you’re in good company.
