When it comes to weight loss there are a lot of myths and misinformation out there. People are often incredibly frustrated, overwhelmed and ill informed when it comes to this topic . These 6 habits for weight loss will help you avoid the dieting pitfalls, bring clarity, and simplify the weight loss process so that you cant hit that weight loss goal you’ve set.
Eating isn’t always about hunger – we can turn to food when we are stressed, overwhelmed, tired, lazy, bored, anxious, in need of comfort, or low on energy. It is important to decide ahead of time how you will handle those situations. Replacing emotional eating with something else is a great way to change the habit. Going for a walk, dancing to your favorite music, calling a friend, going to bed, heading to the gym, reading a good book, or making a healthy snack are all great alternatives.
In order to ensure your weight loss is permanent, it will require healthy life style changes and food choices. This is best done with support and someone that can help you stay motivated and accountable. Whether an in person partner, virtual, or a group find a cheering squad that you will speak to on a regular basis.
Two huge factors in weight loss are sugar consumption and water intake. Sugar will keep the weight on and not enough water will cause you to feel more hungry and not flush out the toxins. Work hard to increase your daily water intake and cut sugar.
Losing weight is really all about setting yourself up for success. Willpower is great, but why not just eliminate the temptation and get rid of the food in your home? Thanks to the wonderful world wide web you can now access so many amazing substitute recipes for healthy versions of the things you love.
Whatever season you are in and regardless of your daily schedule our bodies need to move. Even if it is just 15 mins daily movement is going to help not only your weight loss journey but also your mental health. Start by implementing just 15 minuets a day and increase it from there once the habit is formed.
It can be tempting to fill our entire plate with food and then eat it all regardless if we are full. Portion control is a great way to cut back your calorie intake. Using a smaller plate will help you naturally have smaller portions and allow you to finish your plate.
