The holiday season can be a stressful time of year, especially for working moms who are trying to balance their job and family life. Its easy to get overwhelmed by all the tasks that need to be completed before Christmas arrives. But this doesnt have to be the case! If you take a few moments each day to focus on joy, gratitude, and Jesus the real reason for the season you can find peace and step away from the consumerism stress of the holiday season. Lets explore five tips that will help reduce your stress this holiday season!
1. Take Time for Yourself
We often put ourselves last during busy times of the year like this one. But taking time for yourself is essential if you want to reduce your stress levels during the holidays. Even if its just a few minutes of meditation or some light stretching each day, taking care of yourself is important. Self-care helps ground us in our bodies and our minds so we can better manage our stress levels.
2. Make Time for Gratitude
Its easy to get caught up in all the things we don’t yet have or haven’t accomplished yet, but focusing on what we do have is an important part of reducing stress during the holidays. Taking time each day to list out what you are grateful for has been proven to reduce anxiety and depression levels. Making time for gratitude helps you stay focused on what really matters not all those things that dont matter as much as we think they do!
3. Enjoy Nature & Exercise
Getting outside in nature can help us feel calmer and more relaxed when we are feeling overwhelmed with holiday stress. Exercise is also great for reducing stress, so try going on a walk or jog around your neighborhood or local park each day during this busy season! Even just 10 minutes outdoors can make a huge difference in your overall mood and well-being.
4. Unplug from Social Media & Technology
The holidays can be especially hard if we are constantly comparing ourselves with others online or seeing every detail about how everyone else is celebrating this special time of year while we are struggling with our own stresses at home. So take a break from social media and technology whenever possible so that you can focus on what truly matters instead of getting caught up in comparison traps online!
5. Find Joy in Celebrating Jesus
Remember why we celebrate Christmas each year it’s not just about presents under trees or obligatory gift exchanges with friends and family members; it’s about celebrating Jesus’ birth and reflecting on his love and grace throughout this special season! Spend time reading scripture each day or attending church services regularly throughout December – these activities will help keep your focus on Jesus instead of getting lost in all the other pressures that come along with this festive period of the year!
With these five tips, hopefully, you’ll find yourself less stressed during this busy holiday season! Taking care of yourself should always come first; remember that even small actions like going outside for 10 minutes or listing out things you’re grateful for will make a huge difference when it comes to reducing stress during such an overwhelming period of the year! So take some time today to practice self-care – your body and mind will thank you later!
My prayer for you is that you will enjoy this holiday season and have a very Merry Christmas!

Hi, Im Amy! I am a certified holistic life and health coach. I am PASSIONATE about helping driven women just like you, go from surviving to thriving I help them get more energy, stop cravings, and feel good again, so they can thrive in ALL aspects of their life and live the abundant life they were created to live!
I learned most of what I know through living life. I am trauma-informed, have three autoimmunities (Hashimotos, Graves, and celiac), and Epstein Barr virus, and I have learned that dieting doesnt work changing our thoughts about dieting does.
I know what has helped my health the most and my greatest desire is for others to find the same freedoms I have found in both health and life. It is my goal to partner with God to help women not only walk in wellness but to live in their identity, find their purpose, to walk in the calling of who God has created them to be, and help them heal from the inside out.
If you have been wanting all of this plus more energy, control over your life and health, and the power to make good healthy choices, and just want to feel good again so you can enjoy life, we need to talk!
